2024 was a year of significant achievement for Flip-Pay. We experienced substantial growth, forged valuable partnerships with leading newspaper publishers, and introduced key enhancements to our platform. These included new segmentation tools that empower publishers to target specific audience segments, personalize content offerings, and drive higher conversion rates. We also added support for voluntary contributions for membership programs, providing flexible revenue models. Our advanced data analytics, powered by BigQuery, provide publishers with actionable insights into audience behavior and subscription performance. Furthermore, we reinforced our commitment to security and compliance, achieving ISO20017:2022, SOC2 Type II, NIST CSF, and NIST 800-171 certifications, adding to our existing GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS compliance. This ensures the highest standards of data protection for our partners. Operationally, we successfully transitioned to an enterprise-grade SaaS provider, refining our support processes and delivering substantial performance improvements across the platform.
Building on this strong foundation, 2025 is poised to be a year of accelerated growth and innovation for newspaper publishers seeking to thrive in the evolving media landscape.
A key development is our strategic partnership with Teak. This collaboration seamlessly integrates North American home delivery, postal delivery, single copy distribution, driver applications, and related functionalities directly into the NOVUM Flip-Pay platform. This partnership offers a compelling solution for newspaper publishers operating on legacy systems like Naviga, providing a modern, scalable platform designed to drive growth in both print and digital subscriptions. Imagine streamlining your print distribution and managing digital access all in one place.
We have also partnered with Media Solutions Integrators (MSI), based in Florida, to serve as our official reseller in the LATAM markets. MSI’s deep understanding of the publishing industry and expertise in ad-tech will enable us to effectively penetrate the Latin American market, where we are already seeing considerable interest from newspaper publishers.
In addition, we are collaborating with InsurAds to bring intelligent, ad-based paywall control to the Flip-Pay platform. This innovative technology will empower newspaper publishers to dynamically manage paywall access based on user interaction with high-value advertising, creating an additional layer of monetization potential for digital content. This allows publishers to maximize revenue by offering flexible access options. This feature will be available to our publishers later this year.
Over the past twelve months, Flip-Pay has focused on two key product initiatives designed specifically for the needs of newspaper publishers:
V2: The Re-engineered Publisher Portal: We have completely redesigned our publisher portal, incorporating valuable feedback from our clients and leveraging our extensive experience to create a more intuitive and efficient user experience. V2 provides pre-built solutions for rapid deployment of digital paywalls, a no-code visual editor for customizing user journeys and communications, and an overall streamlined workflow. This represents a significant advancement in how newspaper publishers manage their digital subscriptions and content access, simplifying day-to-day tasks and freeing up time to focus on strategic initiatives.
Self-Service Portal: Complementing the V2 platform, our new self-service portal empowers small to medium-sized newspaper publishers to independently deploy their monetization strategies. Publishers can implement paywalls, registration walls, meters, digital consumables, memberships, events, identity management, and voluntary contributions without any help from our team. This tool significantly reduces implementation timelines and associated costs for publishers, enabling faster deployment of advanced digital subscription models and allowing publishers to experiment with different strategies. While 2024 emphasized the maturation of our operations, security, and support infrastructure, 2025 is focused on strategic expansion within the newspaper publishing sector. Our January performance reflects this trajectory, with record levels of new business from newspaper publishers. The growth of our reseller network, strategic partnerships, and client referrals positions us for a highly successful year. Critically, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing exceptional support and client service to our newspaper publishing partners.
